Stylish houseplant mounting workshop

Led by the incredible plant carer and Christchurch local, Jördis of @i_foliage, you will have a fun afternoon in Lyttelton learning how to make your own living wood-mounted stylish houseplant.

Did you know that certain houseplants like to grow up walls and can grow attached to something instead of inside a pot? Don't worry - we didn't either until Instagram made it popular. Epiphytes are plants that grow on other plants or trees and receive nutrients and water from the air, rain and decaying matter around them. They make great houseplants due to their minimal water and soil requirements and are excellent candidates for mounting. You might know them, some are rhipsalis, ferns, philodendrons and even hoyas.
